Softskill seminar is a routine agenda carried out by PPAk FEB UGM for its graduates. The aim of this seminar is to provide graduates with knowledge about the importance of softskills in determining someone’s future success.
The seminar was dedicated to 19th Period PPAk Graduates. It was held online on December 21st , 2020 due to Covid 19 pandemic. PPAk FEB UGM invited Prof. Dr. Ida Rochani Adi, S.U, lecturer of Faculty of Cultural Science Universitas Gadjah Mada as the speaker. This event was attended by 29 participants.
Professor Ida Rochani Adi presented a topic on personal branding.
Personal branding can be defined as a practice to promote oneself, career and achievements as a brand. Personal branding is the process of developing and maintaining and individual’s reputation and impression. Strong personal branding helps someone gain credibility, new relationships, and even new opportunities to be known personally and professionally. Prof Ida Rochani Adi also shared the graduates many tips in order to be selected by companies. Some of the importans points given are: be innovative, knowledgable, smart, have networking skills and so on. She also gave some tips on how to behave and answer questions during interview session.
