On Friday, September 11, 2020, the Accounting Profession Education, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada held a Seminar for New Student Batch 40. On this occasion, PPAk FEB presented the Head of the Indonesian Institute of Public Accountants, Mr. Tarkosunaryo, MBA, CPA, Ak. This seminar was held online due to Covid-19 pandemic.
Dean of Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada, Mr. Eko Suwardi, M.Sc., Ph. D attended and opened the seminar. Mr Eko Suwardi advised and motivated all students to study hard, so that they can be successful learners in the future.
Mr. Tarkosunaryo, MBA, CPA said that the world is now entering a new era, namely the Industrial Revolution Era 4.0 which marked by the presence of artificial intelligence (AI). Almost all countries apply this technology. As a consequence, the industrial revolution 4.0 affects systemically in various fields, including the auditing. Of course, this requires auditors to respond quickly to this big change. In addition, he gave several tips so that auditors are able to compete in this tough era. Auditors have to keep up with technological developments, be able to understand and analyze big data and so on. The seminar was closed with a photo session.
