Accountant Profession Education graduated 29 students who have passed CA or CPA examination. Due to the global pandemic and related restrictions, PPAk FEB UGM made the difficult decision to hold a virtual commencement ceremony on Tuesday Desember 22, 2020.
On that occasion, PPAk FEB UGM delivered 29 certificate of profession with Accountant designation. The event was attended by the Dean of FEB UGM, Deputy Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Chairman and Secretary of the Accounting Department, lecturers, invited guests and graduates.
The Dean of FEB UGM congratulated the graduates on their success in taking the CA / CPA exam. He gave a mandate that all graduates should keep on learning and maintain the noble values of Gadjah Mada.
The speaker of the commencement ceremony was the Chairman of the National Board of the Indonesian Accountants Association, Prof. Dr. Mardiasmo, MBA and the Chairman of Indonesian Institute of Public Accountant , Mr. Tarkosunaryo. Mr. Prof. Mardiasmo congratulated all graduates and gave a very important advice to continue learning and set a high moral standard because accountants are a profession of public trust.
Mr Tarkosunaryo said that the public accounting profession has bright prospects in the future. The skills of a public accountant will still be needed. The most important thing to do is to follow professional development / education in order to keep up to date with the latest developments in accounting/auditing fields.
